“Normal is an illusion. What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly.”
Remember mugging up quotes for Hindi essays in childhood, “Jahaan swachhta hoti hai, wahaan devi devta vaas krte hain.”? If not, you must have some very vague memories of this one ” Cleanliness is next to godliness.” And then NaMo came into power and made all this quotes household songs with his ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. Storified.me is privileged to bring you the inspiring story of Ms. Niyati Purohit, who has taken Swachhta a step forward. She is the founder of India’s first & only certified Green Company by GC Mark, Germany & DQS in the space of manufacturing cleaning liquids, Megamorph Marketing Private. Limited. The company prides itself on being able to offer affordable and effective cleaning solutions that have minimal impact on the environment during its manufacturing process. Each product has been put together with the aim of making the world a safer, cleaner and better place.
When Niyati came across this industry, she realised quality product, training and services, which are enjoyed by the top players of Industrial and Institutional sector, never come down to the budget and stand alone players. A strong believer of the fact that everybody deserves a clean and hygienic place to live and work, she wanted to create the same quality of products with same level of training and services in affordable budgets without harming our mother earth, so that nobody ever needs to use crude products for cleaning. That is what led her to launch her range of cleaning solutions in the brand name of CareClean.
The biggest challenge for Niyati was to get her first few employees. She was striving to create a team when she had no customers and selling cleaning solutions was not a very glamorous or a cool job. Transparent and ethical in all business process played majorly in bringing new customers and channel partners on board. Megamorph was the new flower bud, a promising start-up , and honey bees started flooding near it. And then people started swarming to Megamorph for job, when they realised that it was here to stay and run all the long races. The other biggest challenge for Niyati was working in a very male dominated sector, be it handling manufacturing unit, distributor channel or the customers. Being the first woman for her colleagues in many of these jobs, it was tough crossing the threshold for gaining trust amongst people she was working with.
Born in Indore, she remembers going to their pharmaceutical manufacturing factory with her mom on a 2 wheeler. All along the way, her mom kept on quizzing her on different subjects. Having spent substantial amount of my holidays and vacations in our factory, managing a factory and operations comes naturally to Niyati. That is how she efficiently juggles multiple roles like factory operations, developing new products, handling marketing strategies and their implementations, taking care of HR and customer service. Her passion for the business and the domain knowledge broke all ice and slowly made everybody very comfortable working with her. Working with all her head and heart, Niyati managed to make some really good connections with people at many different levels.
Niyati looks up to her mom, Deepika Purohit for inspiration. Mrs. Deepika Purohit is a cancer fighter, a yoga and meditation instructor and runs the pharmaceutical factory till date. Niyati also strives to become a superwoman like her mother. Whenever she hits a low, she takes a moment to look back to her journey till date. She believes that at the end o all her struggles she has come out stronger and wiser. So she keeps on working despite all struggle believing that this too shall pass.
Niyati has been a utopian since her childhood. She won the Mayor’s award in Scout and Guides and also served a year as the house captain in her school. She believes in making improvements and not excuses.
Here’s wishing the wonder woman best wishes for her future endeavours and hoping that Megamorph becomes a household name for cleaning solutions.
